The tenting process has begun on the Duchess Anne

Tenting The Duchess Anne

Before work could begin on the Duchess Anne’s new deck, significant preparation was needed. Last summer, another company removed the aging deck, stripping it down to the ship’s steel framework. From there, she was transferred to Damen Shipyard in Dunkerque for essential repairs, including replacing worn metal plates and receiving a full repaint to protect her structure.

By mid-January 2025, she returned to her mooring, and Kreative Decks began the process of tenting her, a critical step to shield the restoration site from the elements. However, high winds delayed the operation, forcing the team to pause until conditions improved. Despite these challenges, the project pressed forward, ensuring the ship would be ready for the next phase of her restoration.
